Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years work experience or 4 years with Masters.

• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot / JEE)/ Python /FastAPI / React.
• Experience designing and shipping end-to-end software systems—backend, API layer, and front-end—reliability and developer experience.
• Hands-on experience with database schema design and data access technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with observability tooling (Splunk, Hubble, ExtraHop, or equivalent).

DESCRIPTION

Software Engineering (70%) Working alongside the Tech lead - architect, develop, and own full‑stack applications and internal platforms that automate operational workflows, system monitoring, and incident management at scale. Build robust backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java (JEE/Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI), following clean architecture principles with a focus on performance, testability, and maintainability. Develop rich, responsive front‑end dashboards and tooling using React, enabling operations and engineering teams to gain real‑time visibility into system health, incidents, and KPIs. Working alongside the Tech lead - design and implement AI/LLM‑powered automation agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to intelligently handle operational tasks, reduce manual intervention, and surface actionable insights. Build scalable data pipelines, ingestion services, and integration layers that aggregate signals from distributed systems, monitoring tools (Splunk, Hubble, ExtraHop), and internal APIs.

Operations & Reliability (30%) Work with a team of highly skilled engineers supporting group of applications and guide their work towards operations excellence, gaining efficiency by automating their daily routine tasks. Planning and execution of system health monitoring, incident response, and communication across critical global applications to drive operational metrics tracking, KPI identification, and process improvements through coordination with support and engineering teams. Deep understanding of production monitoring systems, log analysis, and troubleshooting, support dashboards and proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools. Be a problem‑solver who is self‑directed and capable of exhibiting deftness to handle multiple simultaneous competing priorities and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
