Innovative Ag Services seeks an Operations/Service Support role to help keep our Iowa location, equipment, and customer service running smoothly. We provide training, support, and opportunities for growth.

The position focuses on hands-on operations and logistics within an agricultural environment. Responsibilities include on-time reporting, maintenance, parts distribution, safety training, and supporting the Location Manager with logistics and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain Class A CDL with HazMat.
• Must hold or be able to obtain Chemical Handler’s License.
• Demonstrates initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing assignments.
• Experience with AS400 or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to the workplace on time and alert supervisor for absences.
• Maintain licenses and medicals required for job.
• Assist with outside operations and equipment maintenance.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Operate and maintain location facilities and equipment.
• Assist with distribution of farm supplies and grain when assigned.
• Notify about tools, inventories, or parts shortages.
• Keep shop and warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Participate in safety and job-related training programs.
• Follow company safety policies and conduct guidelines.
• Create a positive, professional image to customers and the community.
• Assist Location Manager with custom application logistics when needed.
• Back up customer service support in Location Manager absence.
• Accept and carry out other tasks assigned by Location Manager.

Operations/Service Support Job Description

Primary Objective:

To provide Operation Service Support at the location for the benefit of IAS and its member owners.

Major Accountabilities:

The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.

• Report to assigned workplace at time specified; report late arrivals or absences to supervisor prior to start time
• Maintain required licenses, physicals, etc. necessary to perform job requirements
• Assist with outside operations and maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Repairs and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment if needed
• Operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Assist with the distribution of farm supply products and grain when assigned
• Notification of shop tools, inventories of supplies, or replacement parts needed
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and warehouse areas in which you are working
• Participate in safety and job-related training programs provided by the company
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and conduct
• Create a positive, professional image to customers and community
• Assist Location Manager with custom application logistics when needed
• Back up customer service support in Location Manager absence
• Accept and carry out any other assigned tasks by Location Manager

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must hold or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with HAZMAT
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Chemical Handler’s License
• Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently
• Ability to organize, deal with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently
• AS400 computer operation
• Demonstrates strong people skills, professional phone etiquette, dependability, and the ability to follow directions and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:

• Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with the body, arms, and legs
• Must have abdominal and lower-back strength to support the body during repeated or continuous activity. Some tasks involve repetitive motion
• Agricultural Environment - Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products
• Personal Protective Equipment may be required for some tasks
