Job summary

CMC's Operations & Sales Manager role offers an opportunity to learn the steel, construction reinforcement and ground stabilization industries while growing your career. The position directs and coordinates activities across detailing, planning, placing and production, building customer relationships and leading operational teams.

Remote work may be possible up to 40% travel to support customer relationships, job sites and regional initiatives, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Minimum 2 years in the Rebar industry preferred.
• Ability to adhere to CMC safety policies and procedures.
• Leader with a sense of urgency and dedication to project success.
• Knowledge of Logistics, Material handling, Production and Maintenance.
• Must be able to work well with others and create a team atmosphere starting with safety.
• Clearly communicate expectations, issues and feedback.
• Operates a computer proficiently (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates all activities including Detailing, Project Planning, Placing, and Production or any other concern that may arise.
• Maintain an accurate inventory with no losses due to fraud, poor quality control, or faulty procedures.
• Leads departments to achieve safety, quality, and company standards.
• Advocates sound business practices to operational processes to supply the customer and stay within budgeting.
• Collaborates with Area Manager to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Maintain awareness of safety and environmental concerns.
• Respond to customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Provide tools and training to develop employees and act as a business partner in problem solving.
• Review customer specifications for product application.
• Guide staff with regards to hiring, discipline, development, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

What You'll Do

• Leads all department personnel in a professional manner toward achieving company performance goals with emphasis on safety, quality, and meeting all company standards

• Must collaborate with Area Manager to ensure successful accomplishments of project goals
• Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns
• Responsible for receiving, tracking, assessing and responding to customer complaints or issues
• Work with managers and employees to identify root cause of customer complaints and implement corrective actionsProvides tools and training to develop employees in the their regular work, serving as a true business partner in developing solutions
• Reviews customer specifications for application of products
• Partners with HR in giving guidance and direction to staff with regards to hiring, disciplinary action, development, goal formulation and performance reviews
• Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations, minimizing the company's exposure to adverse outcomes of complaints, litigation, audits and inspections
• Adapts to change in a positive and productive manner
• Demonstrates a passion for customers and world class customer service
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need
