Job summary

The Building People is seeking an Operations Research Specialist with an active Secret Clearance to support DHS leadership. The role focuses on forecasting, simulation modeling, cost-benefit and risk analyses, and KPI-driven dashboards across federal facilities.

Responsibilities include data visualization, reporting, and informing strategic planning and resource allocation decisions. Strong Python/R/SAS/MATLAB and BI tool experience is preferred, with a background in federal facilities analytics.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of OR or advanced analytics experience.

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Operations Research Specialist with an active Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop forecasting and simulation models.
• Perform cost-benefit and risk analyses.
• Analyze facility performance and utilization data.
• Develop KPIs and operational dashboards.
• Conduct data visualization and reporting.
• Support strategic planning and resource allocation decisions.
• Present analytical findings to DHS leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of operations research or advanced analytics experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Federal facilities analytics experience.
• Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
• Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
