Job description

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

You may qualify at the GS 14 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 13 grade level in the Federal service, military, or private sector: Overseeing broad information technology-related programs involving multiple performers Driving architectural strategy for high-resilience network environments, software architecture, and advanced technology integration Establishing strategic objectives and leading progress against them; managing integrated acquisitions (e.g., contracts, agreements, grants) that consolidate and fulfill requirements for multiple organizations or organizational sub-elements Overseeing the implementation and continuous monitoring of cyber security compliance and risk management frameworks; translating, synthesizing, and distilling numerous sources of federal and Department acquisition-related regulations and policy to provide guidance to other program managers Developing and delivering executive-level briefings translating complex technical content to non-technical audiences. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 1515, series as listed below: A. Degree: Operations research or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Or B. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
