Position Summary

The Project Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end execution of assigned capital projects, from concept development through mechanical completion and handover to site operations and startup. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory expectations. The Project Manager leads cross‑functional teams and external partners (EPCM, OEMs, contractors) to define scope, manage execution, control risks, and maintain alignment between project objectives and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own development and execution of integrated project plans, managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
  • Lead cross‑functional matrixed teams and coordinate with Site Leadership and Startup Manager for smooth transition to commissioning and startup.
  • Manage external partners (EPCM, OEMs, integrators, contractors), overseeing contracts, performance, deliverables, and vendor accountability.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules, budgets, forecasts, and capitalization; proactively manage risks and escalation.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements; oversee documentation, drawing control, and readiness for CQV and startup.
  • Supervise orderly handover and close‑out, including punch lists, system turnover, contractor closeout, and capture lessons learned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • 8+ years managing large, complex capital projects in manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of capital project delivery models, EPCM execution, and contractor management in GMP‑regulated facilities.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in matrixed organizations, influence stakeholders, and drive disciplined execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and communication skills; comfortable making decisions amid ambiguity and competing priorities.
Physical Requirements

General office environment. Ability to move about the office, construction, and production areas. Exposure to disagreeable elements is limited. Must perform safe work in accordance with SOPs and GMP.

Travel

Domestic and international travel to visit equipment manufacturers and support projects outside the New Albany site.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct reports; oversees the project work of Engineering Managers and external partners such as general contractors and design firms.
