Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 annually + Benefits
Travel: Occasional travel to company headquarters and other facilities (approximately quarterly)

Operations & Production Supervisor - Position Overview:

• We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume production and fulfillment operation serving nationally recognized financial services and enterprise customers.
• This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, leading employees, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence in an environment where accuracy, turnaround time, and customer commitments are critical. Supervises five (5) direct reports with up to 75 full-time production employees. Interviews, hires, trains.
• The successful candidate will help support a growing operation, play a key role in bringing new equipment and technologies online, and ensure thousands of customized customer deliverables are accurately produced and released on schedule each day.
• This is not a "set it and forget it" production environment. Success in this role requires strong floor leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to execute in a deadline-driven operation where customers expect speed, accuracy, and flawless delivery every day.

Operations & Production Supervisor - Key Responsibilities / Production & Operations:

• Lead and supervise daily production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing and fulfillment environment.
• Participate in daily operations meetings to review production schedules, priorities, staffing levels, and customer commitments.
• Ensure customer deadlines, service-level agreements, and production goals are consistently achieved.
• Drive a sense of urgency across the production floor while maintaining quality, security, and operational standards.
• Monitor production output, labor utilization, throughput, and workflow efficiency.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Quickly respond to production disruptions, equipment issues, staffing challenges, and shifting priorities to minimize customer impact.
• Make real-time operational decisions to ensure critical customer deliverables remain on track.

Operations & Production Supervisor - Equipment & Process Improvement:

• Support installation, startup, testing, and implementation of new production equipment and technologies.
• Coordinate equipment setup, employee training, and production ramp-up activities.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel and equipment vendors to maximize uptime and performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

Operations & Production Supervisor – Quality & Compliance:

• Monitor quality standards throughout all stages of production and fulfillment.
• Conduct routine quality audits and production checks.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, errors, and customer-impacting events.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and operational documentation.
• Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Operations & Production Supervisor – Team Leadership:

• Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and workforce development.
• Hold employees accountable to safety, quality, attendance, and productivity expectations.
• Foster a culture built on teamwork, urgency, accountability, and customer service.
• Conduct performance discussions and provide ongoing feedback and development.

Operations & Production Supervisor - Inventory & Warehouse Support:

• Assist with inventory planning and material availability.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and movement of materials throughout the facility.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient material flow and order fulfillment.
• Support purchasing and supply management activities as needed.

Operations & Production Supervisor – Qualifications / Requirements:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, fulfillment, processing, logistics, or operations.
• Experience leading employees in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and adjust quickly to changing business needs.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, performance metrics, and process improvement.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.

Operations & Production Supervisor – Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in financial services operations, fintech, transaction processing, secure production, fulfillment, print/mail, statement processing, or similar environments such as another ISO9001 certified production environment
• Experience working with automated production equipment and high-speed processing systems.
• Experience supporting equipment installations, production expansions, or facility growth initiatives.
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required in lieu of direct production management experience.
