Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking an Inventory Planner in Geismar, LA to develop inventory strategies aligned with production and shipping schedules.

You will efficiently plan, monitor, and track all production and shipping activities at the facility, ensuring data integrity in SAP and timely KPI reporting. You will work with management to meet monthly inventory targets, plan manpower and materials, and prepare weekly production/shipping schedules.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor, adhere to required work schedules, focus on details, and follow work rules.
  • Must be able to create reports using the Internet, Email, Microsoft Programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Previous experience with SAP.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
  • Must have basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Must be able to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Must be willing to perform warehouse and office work.

Responsabilidades

  • Meet monthly inventory targets by reviewing at-risk inventory (blocked, expiring, failed), and safety stock, and work with management to ensure disposition of material.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delays.
  • Review data in SAP to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and present production/shipping schedules weekly by planning, scheduling and managing movement of materials through the production schedule (2 weeks out).
  • Maintain integrity and validity of business systems by ensuring appropriate use of planning tools in SAP.
  • Assist in monthly inventory reconciliations and identify/discrepancies in inventory.
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials required to cover product demand.
  • Prepare and submit status/performance reports (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

What You Will Do

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Meet monthly inventory targets by reviewing at risk inventory (blocked, expiring, failed), and safety stock. Work with
  • management team to ensure disposition of material is followed through.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delays.
  • Responsible for reviewing data in SAP to ensure data integrity.
  • Responsible for the development and presentation of production/shipping schedules on a weekly basis by planning, scheduling and managing movement of materials through the production schedule (2 weeks out).
  • Maintains integrity and validity of business systems by ensuring appropriate use of planning tools in SAP.
  • Assist in monthly inventory reconciliations and be able to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials required to cover product demand.
  • Prepare and submit status/performance reports (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience.

Experience / specific knowledge:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor ion, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Must be able to create reports using the Internet, Email, Microsoft Programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Previous experience with SAP

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).

  • Must have basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Must be willing to perform warehouse and office work.

Physical demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Working conditions:

  • Must be willing and able to work in a corporate office and field environment.
  • Must be willing and able to carry a cell phone and respond as needed.
  • Extended periods of sitting may be required for administrative activities.

Supervisory responsibility:

  • None

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

  • Previous experience in a bulk handling facility.
  • Previous experience with a database or inventory control system. (Ex. Lawson)

Other responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.
