Job summary

The Timken Company invites recent graduates to join its Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP), a two-year path designed to expose you to manufacturing and support functions. The program includes on‑the‑job training, mentorship with senior leaders, and four six‑month assignments across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience demonstrated in academic or extracurricular activities, or during employment (e.g., clubs, projects, internships).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or business field. Minimum GPA 2.8 or above.
  • Willingness to relocate to multiple U.S. locations during the program.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in four six‑month assignments across Timken plants.
  • Relocate to a second plant location for later assignments.
  • Mentorship by senior operations leaders and structured professional development.

What is the Operations Leadership Development Program?

The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is a two-year program designed to provide thorough exposure to The Timken Company's manufacturing and manufacturing support functions to develop future leaders within the company. The program includes various professional development experiences and on-the-job training during each assignment.

OLDP participants are a part of a cohort that advance through the program to attend trainings, network, and collaborate with leadership throughout the year. Participants will be mentored, and have significant interaction with senior operations leaders throughout the company.

The program consists of four assignments each six months in duration. The first two assignments will be in one plant location. Program participants will then relocate to a second plant location for their third and fourth assignments. After completion of the program, permanent assignments will be in one of our U.S. manufacturing facilities.

Education Requirements/Qualifications
  • College graduate (December 2026 – May 2027 preferred).
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor's in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Science in Operations Management or related business or engineering degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Manufacturing internships/co-ops preferred.
  • Leadership experience demonstrated in academic or extra-curricular activities, or during employment.
  • Ability to relocate. Possible placement locations: South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Ohio, or other.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
