Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking an Operations Manager in Plano, TX to oversee multiple departments and ensure execution of plans for business success. The role on-site involves vendor management, production planning and cross-functional leadership to achieve KPIs.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in related roles, strong analytical skills, and experience with procurement, contract negotiation, and ERP systems such as SAP. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 6+ years of directly related experience.
• Vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Certifications in SCM or Six Sigma are a plus.
• Experience in contract negotiation, outsourcing strategies, onboarding and vendor performance management.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and maintain vendor management policies and procedures to optimize vendor performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Ensure that standard procedures are followed and vendors meet or exceed contractual obligations.
• Monitor and coordinate vendor performance reviews, audits, and assessments to ensure KPIs are maintained.
• Analyze vendor performance data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Monitor and support the vendor selection process, including RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Address and resolve vendor-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
• Direct activities of various departments in pricing, sales, production and distribution of products.
• Manage employees, create work schedules and assign duties.
• Determine employment requirements, interview and hire prospective employees.
• Operations manager may also train newly hired employees.
• Manage all activities associated with production of the company's products.
• Oversee performance of employees in sales promotions, coordinating with division leads, planning layouts and pricing.
• Supervise remodeling of amenities and represent the company in client meetings and negotiations.
• Handle problems calmly under pressure.
