Position Overview

The Operations Manager oversees transportation operations, leading a team of drivers and supervisors to meet customer requirements and company goals. The role involves planning, resource management, safety culture promotion, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. People Management: Train, develop, and retain staff; foster effective communication and strong relationships.
2. Operational Excellence: Meet KPIs, improve route and carrier efficiencies, collaborate across sites.
3. Financial Oversight: Develop budgets, monitor P&L, ensure accurate billing and payroll.
4. Safety Leadership: Promote safety culture, identify and rectify unsafe conditions, ensure compliance.
5. Customer & Growth: Enhance customer value, identify new opportunities, monitor metrics for efficiency.
6. Asset Management: Optimize fleet utilization, coordinate maintenance, build vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years related experience; 3+ years supervisory experience in DOT-regulated roles.
• High School diploma required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage operations independently, lead change, and travel as needed.

Physical & Other Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks, communicate effectively, and meet the demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 lbs and vision requirements.

Additional Information

This full-time management position offers a salary range of $82,700-$111,700, with bonus potential up to 30%. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, and the schedule is Monday-Friday.
