Position Overview

The Operations Manager - Transitions/Task Force is responsible for planning and directing operations to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping in managing operations and support other departments (F&B, Front Office, Engineering).
  2. Provide a strong lobby presence to assist front desk staff and guests.
  3. Ensure shift coverage in Housekeeping as needed.
  4. Balance hotel room type inventory.
  5. Maintain standards in lobby, Mezzanine, and Housekeeping areas (cleanliness, signage, outdoor conditions, elevator functionality).
  6. Handle guest requests and complaints during shifts.
  7. Perform front desk duties as required.
  8. Investigate and resolve complaints, disturbances, and emergencies.
  9. Manage payroll, attendance, and overtime tracking.
  10. Coach and train staff, administer discipline.
  11. Prepare and distribute reports.
  12. Handle special guest requests.
  13. Participate in meetings to promote morale and efficiency.
  14. Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings.
  15. Participate in Manager on Duty coverage as needed.
  16. Travel approximately 50% within the Eastern region for about 1 year+.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel or related experience, or relevant educational background with experience.
  2. Previous supervisory experience.
  3. Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  4. Ability to work long hours and handle physical demands.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  7. High standards of appearance and grooming.
  8. Compliance with safety and hotel standards.
  9. Problem-solving skills and confidentiality.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
