Compensation: $94,000 – $97,000 per year
Job Description
The Operations Manager (OM) reports to the General Manager and assists with all supervisory duties. The OM works onsite and actively communicates with the client and other vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of all drivers and oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all bus routes continuously operate and adequately serve the client’s needs.
- Make logistical coverage and staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to drivers and client management.
- Hire, interview, conduct road tests, train and develop new drivers.
- Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes as needed.
- Support the development of company policies and procedures.
- Support the General Manager as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Required and Physical Demands
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize and solve problems.
- Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures preferred.
- Well‑versed in all aspects of DOT compliance.
- Class B driver license (Passenger and Air brakes endorsement) is a bonus but not required.
- Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods.
- Other skills and physical demands as required.
Education and Qualifications
- Hard Requirement: 3+ years of operations management experience.
- Preferred: Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM).
