Job summary

Samuel James in Washington, DC seeks an Operations Manager to own the execution of structural cast-in-place projects across the portfolio, including P&L, forecasting, and cross-functional leadership. Relocation is covered and the role offers a base salary of $175k–$225k with total compensation of $200k–$270k, plus a truck allowance and bonus.

You will build high-performing teams, drive safety and quality, manage schedule and financials, and influence bid strategy for the business unit.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-project concrete construction programs.
• Proven ability to recruit and hire PMs and Superintendents.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience managing $30–$50M under one portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L, forecasting and operational performance across projects.
• Lead and develop Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Plan manpower across projects and cross-project movement.
• Lead monthly financial reviews and weekly project meetings covering safety, quality, schedule, financials, manpower and the customer.
• Provide input into bid strategy and client presentations.
