Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting (MBC) seeks a Senior Operations Manager to provide administrative and executive support to the Navy program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment, based in the Washington, DC area.

You will coordinate policies, budgets, meetings, travel, and communications, while ensuring training and compliance. Required are 10+ years of Navy admin experience, MS Office/SharePoint skills, and eligibility for a DOD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience providing administrative and executive support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid card as required by MBC and/or clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures, as well as attaining operating goals.
  • Ensure work is being completed in a timely manner by assigning or delegating work, objectives, and activities to supervisors and staff, organizing resources, giving work direction, setting deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance with the organization’s policies and practices.
  • Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients.

We are currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager located in the Washington, D.C. area.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Operations Manager will provide administrative and executive support to D PAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.
