Apex Service Partners in the Duluth market is seeking a Plumbing Operations Manager to lead and grow the Plumbing department. This hands-on leader will build high-performing teams, develop people, and create scalable processes that support long-term growth.

You will drive operational excellence by focusing on accountability, safety, and customer experience, while partnering with sales, dispatch, and leadership to align execution with business goals across the field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in plumbing or related field service.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining field teams.
• Proven ability to drive KPI improvements and revenue growth.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Experience with field service platforms like ServiceTitan is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in the Duluth market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of plumbing professionals to achieve performance goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Drive department growth through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing top plumbing talent.
• Build a high-performing culture centered around accountability, quality, safety, and customer experience.
• Own daily field operations by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and driving execution.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to improve revenue, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with leadership, sales, dispatch, and support teams to align operational execution with business objectives.
• Ensure quality workmanship, efficient material usage, and timely completion of jobs.
• Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and job site visits to support technician development and maintain quality standards.
• Manage customer escalations and ensure prompt resolution of service concerns.
• Drive accountability around safety, compliance, permitting, and company standards.
• Develop and implement scalable systems and processes to support continued growth across the department.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of leadership experience within plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, field service, or similar operational environments.
• Home services experience preferred, but not required.
• Proven success leading teams, driving accountability, and delivering measurable business results.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing field teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing operational metrics and implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site as a hands-on leader throughout the Duluth market.
