Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for the Operations Department. This role oversees all activities related to operations and development of company products, working with subordinate supervisors.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency in estimating, budgeting, AS400, MS Office. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
7–10 years related experience and/or training.
Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Estimating, budgeting and AS400 spreadsheet skills required.
Proficiency with MS Office and e‑mail.

Responsibilities

Oversee Purchasing, Estimating, Design and Permitting departments.
Develop and maintain manufacturing operations plans including labor hours and production costs.
Establish production and quality standards; develop budget and cost controls.
Guide manufacturing process planning including staffing, material, and tooling needs.
Determine staff responsibilities to meet business objectives.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
Provide input to product strategy and R&D of new products.
Review production reports and resolve issues to minimize costs and delays.
Travel overnight as required.
