Job summary

Neovia Logistics in Grand Rapids seeks an Operations Manager to oversee and optimize facility operations, including formulating policies, managing daily activities, and planning the use of materials and human resources to meet business requirements.

You will coordinate work within corporate strategies, purchase materials and equipment to ensure uninterrupted supply at optimal cost, and supervise staff to maximize performance and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience with operations, warehouse, and logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, or coordinate work within corporate strategies, policy frameworks and designs, and implement operational strategies to meet goals.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal cost.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate all operational activities required for timely and efficient distribution of products.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate the support for a client’s operation and optimize costs.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate subordinate staff, reviews, and assesses performance, supports their professional development to optimize their contribution.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Manage, plan, or coordinate the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal cost.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate all operational activities required for timely and efficient distribution of products.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate the support for a client’s operation and optimize costs.
• Manage, plan, or coordinate subordinate staff, reviews, and assesses performance, supports their professional development to optimize their contribution.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred

• Six Sigma experience

Physical Requirements

• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
