Job summary

Fortrex, a leader in food safety solutions, seeks a strategic sanitation leader in Georgia. You will plan, manage budgets and P&Ls, and drive safety-focused operations at a processing facility.

You will oversee expenditures, analyze labor/supplies/chemicals to meet P&L standards, lead the sanitation crew, and partner with HR, IT, and customer teams to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 2 years of relevant sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers/technology (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement strategy for operational management with Site Manager and Technical Services.
• Oversee site expenditures to ensure budgets are met.
• Provide analysis of site usages of labor, supplies, and chemicals to meet P&L standards.
• Work with Technical Services and Workers’ Compensation to reduce workplace accidents.
• Report on operational issues and improvement plans.
• Communicate with Area Manager daily to report accidents and plan actions.
• Complete weekly internal safety audits for a safe work environment.
• Set, monitor, and track goals for sanitation crew and manage pay/hours.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures across departments.
• Serve as main liaison with customers and government agencies.
