This position provides operational leadership for equipment management and maintenance, oversight of Small Animal Hospital Facilities Team, and coordination of minor projects across the UF Veterinary Hospitals. This position oversees equipment lifecycle management, preventive maintenance programs, purchasing and capital planning, service contracts, and vendor relationship management. Success in this position requires strong leadership, financial stewardship, communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills to endure a safe, compliant, and efficient clinical environment.
Critical competencies for this position include analytical thinking, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities. Knowledge of state and university purchasing and procurement guidelines is preferred.
