Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re seeking an Operations Manager – Commodity Inspections to join the team! Work Remote!
In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing field inspection operations, managing teams, and ensuring timely, accurate, and impartial delivery of commodity inspection services. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 standards, supporting audits, and driving operational excellence across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for Commodity Inspection teams, ensuring efficiency and compliance
  • Supervise inspectors and manage field execution, calibration, and reporting standards
  • Oversee training, SOP development, and technical documentation control
  • Resolve client issues and complaints with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Monitor and improve KPI performance related to turnaround time, audit accuracy, and client satisfaction
  • Support audits, management reviews, and operational reporting
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, procurement, and cross-team collaboration
  • Maintain technical impartiality and quality assurance standards
  • Mentor staff, track competencies, and deliver hands-on technical guidance
  • Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and industry events

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (Arts or Science required); Bachelor’s in Business or Logistics/Supply Chain
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, operations, or planning (5+ years )
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17020 and commodity inspection protocols (FGIS, GAFTA, FOSFA)
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • U.S. citizenship or valid work visa
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in varied work environments
  • Spanish skills a plus
