Description

Our Upper East Side gallery specializing in Surrealist, Modern, and Post-War Art has an opening for Operations Manager.We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, detail-oriented candidate who wants to be part of a dedicated team.

Ideal Candidate:

·Experienced Operations Manager or Art Handler who is ready to take on more responsibility

·Possesses outstanding organizational skills

·Proactive and looking for ways to improve systems and functions

·Attention to detail to ensure the facilities are in first class condition

·Ability to work under pressure

·Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as an effective team member

Primary Responsibilities:

·Primary contact for all gallery services and vendors

·Maintain presentation and continuous functioning of all gallery facilities

·Work closely with registrar to ensure the safe keeping of artwork

·Ensure the proper handling of artworks

·Oversee/Coordinate with outside vendors for pedestals, frames, conservation

Experience handling high-value artworks required. Proficiency in Photoshop and photo-editing a plus but not required.
