Job summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in Whitsett, NC. You will drive production performance, mentor teams, and partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production.

The role requires strong leadership, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to deliver continuous improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a engineering discipline or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily manufacturing and production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Adjust production schedules and resources based on demand, staffing, equipment availability, and issues.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar improvements.
• Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing staff and frontline leaders.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA, environmental, and company compliance.

Operations ManagerPosition SummarySirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, production performance, and continuous improvement initiatives in Whitsett, NC.This role is responsible for meeting production goals, developing manufacturing teams, improving processes, and partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production. Server experience is required and DWC is preferredKey ResponsibilitiesDirect daily manufacturing and production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery goals.Adjust production schedules and resources based on demand, staffing, equipment availability, and operational issues.Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing employees and frontline leaders.Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company requirements.Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to resolve production issues and maintain efficient product flow.Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, throughput, quality/defects, cost, and overall operational performance.Drive corrective actions and process improvements based on performance data.Communicate manufacturing/program status, operational risks, performance, and financial health to executive leadership and clients.Support cost-control initiatives while maintaining production and quality standards.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.MBA or advanced degree in Project Management, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
