NuCO2 Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across five or more depots and a broad customer base.

You will lead Depot Managers and teams, drive onboarding, coaching, and performance management while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence. Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, route performance, and payroll accuracy, plus coordinating with HR to ensure staffing and onboarding effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum five years of supervisory or operational leadership experience in logistics, distribution, or industrial operations.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or large teams strongly preferred.
  • CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations across five or more depots, ensuring policy and safety standards are met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Depot Managers/Supervisors and teams.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs in partnership with HR.

Job description

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple depots and related customer base including production scheduling, workforce planning, general property maintenance, safety training, new hire training/onboarding and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, etc.).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Oversee and responsible for operations across five or more depots , ensuring consistent execution of NuCO2 policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Depot Managers/Supervisors and their teams; ensure each depot maintains strong supervisory practices, effective onboarding, and performance management.
  • Hold Depot Managers accountable for employee development, safety, service, and productivity objectives.
  • Address escalated employee issues, support corrective actions, and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs in partnership with HR.
  • Validate new hire onboarding effectiveness and successful job performance.
Operational Oversight & Compliance
  • Monitor KPIs, safety compliance, route performance, and service productivity across all depots.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company standards through regular audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
  • Validate payroll accuracy and administrative processes across locations.
Driver, Fleet & Field Performance Management
  • Ensure all depots maintain DOT Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and driver training standards.
  • Review fleet telematics data to identify trends, optimize routing, and improve driver performance.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to observe service quality, driving behaviors, and adherence to SOPs; direct corrective coaching as needed.
Safety Leadership Across the Area
  • Champion a safety-first culture by leading regional safety initiatives and ensuring each depot conducts effective monthly safety meetings.
  • Oversee hazard identification, incident review, and risk mitigation efforts across all facilities.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of safety procedures and corrective actions.
  • Ensure depots maintain accurate inventory records, cycle counts, and product level reporting.
  • Validate compliance with SOPs for installations, service work, and equipment handling.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and Logistics to support delivery schedules and inventory accuracy.
  • Review operational reports to ensure route completion, service quality, and compliance across the area.
  • Partner with Scheduling, Logistics, and District leadership to balance workloads and resolve operational challenges.
  • Identify systemic issues and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and service consistency across all depots.
  • Ownership of people development through ride days and field time
WHAT YOU NEED:
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of supervisory or operational leadership experience, preferably in logistics, distribution, or industrial operations.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or large teams strongly preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CDL preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Proficiency with UltiPro, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Field Service Management (FSM) software or similar operations system.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working in industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety programs and maintain OSHA/DOT compliance across multiple sites.
Safety & Quality Expertise
  • Proven ability to drive safety engagement, lead incident reviews, and enforce risk mitigation practices.
  • Experience conducting field audits, quality spot checks, and performance assessments with actionable follow ‑ up.
  • Experience with fleet telematics (Samsara or similar).
