Ecowaste Solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling operations. You will lead drivers and support staff, optimize routes, monitor fleet performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while managing budgets and safety programs.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in waste management or related logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 3–7 years of operations management experience in waste management, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
• Experience managing large teams and vehicle fleets.
• Proficiency with routing, dispatch, and fleet management software preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling operations.
• Supervise drivers, dispatchers, route supervisors, and other staff.
• Develop and optimize collection routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance.

• Coordinate with landfill, transfer station, and recycling facility personnel.
• Track and report operational KPIs including route completion, productivity, and customer service metrics.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate operational employees.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support growth and service quality.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to respond to operational emergencies outside normal business hours when needed.
