Job summary

gpac is seeking an Operations Manager for waste & environmental services in the United States. The role leads daily waste collection operations, directs drivers and field staff, and drives improvements in safety, efficiency, and customer service.

A strong background in waste or related operations with proven leadership is essential. Responsibilities include optimizing routes, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating with maintenance on fleet reliability, along with budgeting and staffing support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in waste management, environmental services, transportation, logistics, or related operations leadership.
• Experience managing drivers, routes, and field operations.
• Proven ability to improve safety, productivity, retention, and operational results.
• Previous roles such as Operations Manager, Site Manager, District Manager, or Senior Route Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily residential, commercial, industrial, and/or roll-off waste operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop drivers, supervisors, and field staff.
• Improve route efficiency, productivity, safety performance, and service quality.
• Monitor KPIs including safety, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive safety initiatives, compliance standards, and employee accountability.
• Partner with maintenance teams to improve fleet reliability and reduce downtime.

Job Summary
