About The Role
The Operations Manager keeps engineering and business operations running across a cloud-based software environment. The role owns the systems, processes, and operating rhythms that support product releases, incident follow-up, vendor management, access controls, and cross-functional execution. This role connects engineering, IT, security, finance, and people teams to turn priorities into clear plans and measurable outcomes. The manager will identify operational bottlenecks, improve workflows, and build reporting that helps leadership make faster decisions without adding unnecessary process.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve operational workflows supporting software delivery, IT service management, vendor coordination, and internal systems administration
- Coordinate cross-functional programs across engineering, product, security, finance, and people teams, maintaining project plans, dependencies, risks, and decision logs in Jira, Asana, or similar tools
- Manage operating cadences including weekly business reviews, quarterly planning, release readiness reviews, and post-incident action tracking
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting using spreadsheets, SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools to monitor delivery health, service performance, spend, and process efficiency
- Document standard operating procedures, approval paths, controls, and escalation processes in Confluence, Notion, or equivalent knowledge-management tools
- Manage technology vendors and operational budgets, including contract renewals, purchase requests, service reviews, and performance escalations
- Drive process-improvement initiatives from problem definition through rollout, measuring adoption and business impact after implementation
What We Are Looking For
- 3-8 years of experience in operations, technical program management, project management, business operations, or a related field within a technology company
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, IT, security, finance, or other technical stakeholders
- Strong command of project planning, process design, risk management, and executive-ready status reporting
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and BI or workflow platforms
- Comfortable working with operational data, defining KPIs, building reporting, and using SQL or spreadsheet analysis to identify trends and bottlenecks
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; ITIL, PMP, or Agile certification; familiarity with SOC 2 controls, incident management, procurement systems, or SaaS administration
