Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to enable operational processes.
  • Able to absorb and apply new technical information and evaluate implications.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards in judgments.

Operations Manager

Full Time Mast Tech, San Diego, CA, US

Salary Range: $140,000.00 To $180,000.00 Annually

MAST Technologies is seeking a Operations Manager who oversees and manages the day to day production, safety and facilities operations at the MAST facility. This position will work closely with leadership, quality, supply chain and engineering to ensure alignment to MAST directives and initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role that will directly contribute to the growth of our business through positive trending of customer, company and departmental related metrics.

Job Accountabilities

  • Manages, develops and leads production leads or supervisors.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement (lean) across all areas to improve cost, quality and efficiency ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Manage and supervise trainings or documentation related to production
  • Provides a safe work environment through focus on 6S, risk reduction and data driven decision making.
  • Supports and executes level loading production schedules for capacity analysis and staffing.
  • Review production timecards
  • Schedules customer orders to the department daily to ensure that OTD and quality requirements are achieved.
  • Supports all capital projects related to the area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for reviewing all routers to ensure accurate and appropriate steps are being taken within the manufacturing process
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies including OSHA and AQMD. Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal licenses and permits in extrusion.
  • Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and operates in a safe manner.
  • Directs the production and inventory control functions to ensure that the customers’ needs are met in a timely manner while utilizing the capacity of the operation in an efficient manner
  • Works with planning and sales team supporting customer requests and delivery commitments.
  • Works closely with warehouse to maintain facilities and records.
  • Maintains and manages safety objectives at site.
  • Develops and supports a cross functional culture of continuous improvement
  • Schedules workload to meet priorities; achieving all performance related targets
  • Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
  • Manages production staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years’ Experience:10-15 years of relevant experience

  • Strong leadership and management skills to enable the creation of highly effective operational processes
  • Demonstrated ability to execute functional business plans and contribute to the development of functional strategy
  • Capable of directing the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems, while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment
  • Ability to absorb and apply new technical information and evaluate implications
  • Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
