Job summary

Mast Technologies in San Diego, CA is seeking a QC Inspector 1 for full-time work. The role focuses on inspecting components and assemblies, applying QA instructions, and identifying design or process inefficiencies to meet quality standards.

The candidate will perform examinations, document results, and assist in internal audits. ITAR compliance and a commitment to regular attendance are required. Salary is commensurate with experience and location.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant quality inspection experience
• Must follow established instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, charts, diagrams and sketches
• Proficiency in measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment

Responsibilities

• Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of production to ensure compliance with established standards
• Analyzes process data to confirm compliance or identify deviations from standards
• Performs visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies and subassemblies
• Prepares documentation for reporting acceptance or rejection of inspected items
• Identifies quality concerns and reports inefficiencies
• Performs routine quality inspections on designs, assemblies, tooling and related items
• Conducts internal audits and corrective action follow ups
• May require nights/weekends and variable schedules as necessary

Mast Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector 1who inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements.

Job Accountabilities:

• Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
• Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
• Performs visual inspections and mechanical inspections of assemblies and subassemblies
• Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
• Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
• Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
• Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years’ Experience:1– 2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

• Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues
• Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment
• Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks
• Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
