Job description

Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 (+ potential bonus)

Location: Onsite

Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.

Job Purpose:

To provide senior-level managerial and operational support by overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all operational activities within the distribution center.
• Assign managers, supervisors, and warehouse associates their respective duties.
• Manage warehouse schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts.
• Establish and enforce operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and maintaining warehouse inventories.
• Coordinate distribution center activities with transportation providers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Manage system processes and records control.
• Oversee employee safety programs and general training initiatives.
• Assist with the reclamation of damaged merchandise and ensure proper reporting of donations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Implement department standards and guidelines.
• Manage the performance review process in accordance with HR and corporate policies.
• Oversee customer service functions to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to independently implement and manage operational programs.
• High proficiency in computer systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
• College-level education with 8 to 10 years of experience in warehouse management.
