Poconopads manages vacation homes across the Pocono Mountains, from lakefront cabins to ski-season getaways. We give guests stays they'll remember and give homeowners care they can trust. We're growing, and we need an experienced operations leader to keep our homes guest-ready year-round.
The role
You'll run day-to-day field operations for a portfolio of 25-75 homes. Cleaning is handled by outside companies; your job is to make sure every turnover is scheduled correctly, done on time and meets our standards before guests arrive. You'll also manage maintenance, vendors and owner communication. It's a hands-on role: part planner, part problem-solver, often out at properties.
What you'll do
- Schedule turnovers with our contracted cleaning companies, including tight same-day turns and busy holiday weekends.
- Hold cleaning vendors accountable: on-time completion, checklist compliance and fast re-cleans when needed.
- Run quality control inspections, in person or with photo verification, before guest arrivals.
- Track cleaning quality across vendors and use inspection results and guest reviews to raise standards.
- Build and manage our vendor network: cleaning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hot tub service, pest control and snow removal.
- Handle maintenance requests and urgent guest issues quickly and calmly.
- Run seasonal preventive maintenance, such as winterizing, freeze protection, hot tub water care, septic and wells, and chimneys and stoves.
- Onboard new homes: inspections, stocking, safety equipment and launch readiness.
- Keep homes compliant with local STR permits, occupancy limits and safety requirements.
- Manage supply inventory, linens and operating budgets.
- Write and improve SOPs, cleaning standards and inspection checklists.
- Keep homeowners updated on repairs, approvals and property condition.
- Track KPIs: turnover on-time rate, inspection pass rate, cleanliness scores, work order resolution time and cost per turn.
What you bring
- 2+ years of operations experience in vacation rentals, hotels or resorts, or property management.
- Experience managing outside vendors and contractors, including holding them to quality standards and service agreements.
- A sharp eye for detail. You can walk a home and spot what a guest would notice.
- Working knowledge of home systems and a sense of when a fix needs a pro.
- Comfort with property management and scheduling software, such as Hostaway.
- Strong organization when a lot is happening at once.
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Availability for a rotating on-call schedule, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
