Purvis Industries, LLC. is seeking an Operations Manager to support the Branch Manager in driving growth and profitability. You will assess local market conditions, forecast opportunities, and help develop branch objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a similar position; four years preferred.
• Progressive experience in management and P&L ownership.
• Product/applications experience required.
• Experience monitoring the marketplace to identify business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager in all areas of operations to drive growth and profit.
• Assess local market conditions and forecast sales, financial objectives, and plans.
• Develop branch and organizational objectives with regional leadership.
• Address customer satisfaction issues promptly and collaborate with suppliers.
• Prepare required reports and participate in operations meetings.

The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch manager in all areas of operations to drive growth and profit within the Branch. The following is a list of job duties for an Operations Manager. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Job Duties:

• Assesslocalmarketconditions,identifycurrentandprospectivesalesopportunities, anddevelop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans for the branch.
• Recommenddesirablechangesinthepoliciesandgoalsofthebranchandtheorganization.
• AssisttheRegionalandBranchManagerindevelopingbranchandorganizationalobjectives.
• Addresscustomersatisfactionissuespromptly.
• CooperatefullywiththeCreditDepartmentinextendingandenforcingcreditpolicy.
• Achievetheprofitabilitygoals/objectivesofthedivision/branchandorganization.
• Understandoverallaccountabilityforrevenue,margins,mix,andmarketshareobjectives.
• Manageandgrowexistingdistributionaccountsfromanoperationslevel.
• Analyzedatafortrendsanddevelopandexecute“value-added”programs.
• Assistincreatingandimplementingprogramstodrivesalesandimprovemargins.
• Participateinoperationsmeetingsandpreparerequiredreports.
• Workcollaborativelywithareasuppliers,salesdirectors,andmanufacturers’reporganizations.
