Position Summary

The Operations Manager is a member of the Store Management team, fulfilling the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health by driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the Operations Manager will maintain an engaged, productive store team through strong leadership, demonstrating initiative, and leading by example.

Responsibilities

The Operations Manager supports the Store Manager in the total leadership and strategic operation of a CVS/pharmacy store including:

  • Overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation
  • Sales and inventory management
  • Employee staffing, training, and development
  • Financial management
  • Customer service leadership

Note: Unlike the Store Manager in Training position, the Operations Manager role is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program and is not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager. Candidates aiming for store management should consider applying for Store Manager in Training positions.

Essential Functions
  • Management: Lead and work effectively with store teams, supervise activities, communicate effectively, and support operational and service improvements.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers, promote CVS customer service culture (greeting, offering help, thanking).
Required Qualifications
  • Deductive reasoning, advanced analytical, and computer skills.
  • Advanced communication, leadership, supervision, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work flexible full-time hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and respond to urgent issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details
  • Anticipated weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full-time
  • Pay range: $17.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
