Job summary

Berkeley Search Consultants seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day DSP operations, driving on-time delivery and safety. You will manage a growing team of Delivery Associates and support staff, optimize routes, schedules, and performance metrics in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

You will partner with station leadership, ensure DOT compliance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while guiding staffing, training, and cost-reduction

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or delivery operations (Amazon DSP experience preferred).
• 2+ years of experience managing teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficient with technology, including route optimization tools, delivery apps, and scheduling software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage performance metrics, analyze data, and drive results.
• Working knowledge of DOT compliance and safety regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Delivery Associates and support staff.
• Create efficient shift schedules, monitor timecards, and manage staffing needs.
• Proactively monitor delivery performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to DSP program policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with Amazon station leadership and logistics partners to maintain seamless operations.
• Lead by example, promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Manage fleet maintenance, route assignments, and inventory of delivery equipment and supplies.
• Drive a safety-first mindset and enforce safety protocols and incident response procedures.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other local/federal transportation requirements.
• Coaching, mentoring, and training delivery team.

We are seeking a results-driven, hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and scale our business.

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager (OM) will oversee all aspects of DSP operations, including team management, route performance, safety, compliance, logistics, and customer service. The OM plays a critical role in managing the success of the operation through people leadership, process improvement, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily DSP operations to ensure timely and accurate package delivery
• Hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Delivery Associates (DAs) and support staff
• Create efficient shift schedules, monitor timecards, and manage staffing needs
• Proactively monitor delivery performance metrics (on-time delivery, safety, compliance, etc.) and implement corrective actions as needed
