Dematic is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a facility with Lean Six Sigma-led improvements, digital tool adoption, and a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will manage a large team, coordinate outbound logistics, and drive continuous performance improvements across multiple functions.
Responsibilities include developing labor standards, overseeing staffing for current and future demand, and maintaining strong customer relations to meet requirements and boost NPS.
The Operations Manager will have financial, operational, and leadership responsibility for the facility while delivering results against the execution plan. This role will orchestrate day-to-day business operations while championing a culture of operational excellence, modern workplace learning, and technological innovation. The Operations Manager will focus on customer requirements, operational performance, workforce engagement, and the development of scalable capabilities through Lean and Six Sigma frameworks. This role is responsible for upskilling the workforce, identifying and implementing emerging technologies, optimizing output, eliminating waste, and positioning the organization for continued growth.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $84,750 - $124,300 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Directly manage 50- 100 exempt and non-exempt employees, supervisors, and administrative personnel while building a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team focused on high work standards and results.
Lead order fulfillment and customer shipments while achieving target KPIs for Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, and shipment accuracy.
Plan, direct, and coordinate outbound operations, including picking, packing, shipping, auditing, and quality support.
Develop labor standards, staffing plans, and capacity requirements to support day-to-day execution, seasonal demand, and future growth.
Establish and maintain consistent KPIs and work standards, using operational data to identify performance gaps, drive accountability, and continuously improve results.
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensure customer requirements are understood and met, and implement actions to improve customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Lead root cause analysis for operational failures, quality issues, personnel concerns, warranty problems, and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions that promote balance rather than short-term fixes.
Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving to eliminate waste, improve flow, strengthen quality, and simplify operational processes.
Identify and implement technology, automation, and digital tools that improve operational visibility, accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Develop employees through effective onboarding, cross-training, coaching, continuous learning, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
Promote a positive and respectful employee culture built on teamwork, accountability, open communication, recognition, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Collaborate across receiving, inventory control, quality, systems, and other functions while adjusting staffing, resources, and priorities to consistently meet safety, quality, service, and business requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related operations field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5-7 years of progressive warehouse operations management experience, including hands-on WMS and inventory control experience.
Demonstrated experience leading both salaried and hourly employees, including mentoring, performance management, employee development, succession planning, and building an accountable team culture.
Prior experience applying methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement approaches.
Demonstrated ability to establish work standards, KPIs, and performance expectations and use data to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements and feedback into operational improvements and sustained service performance.
Proven track record to identify root causes, solve complex operational problems, manage change, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and effectively lead to a fast-paced, high-intensity operational environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for employee communication, operational reviews, presentations, and cross-functional leadership.
Strong analytical and systems capabilities, including Microsoft Office; SAP / SAP EWM experience is a plus.
