Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead our dry mix plant in Marble Falls, Texas. You will drive safety, quality, and production excellence while guiding a high-performing production team.

You will direct daily operations, optimize production schedules, and coach supervisors to achieve safety and quality standards while meeting output targets. The role requires lean manufacturing expertise, Six Sigma knowledge, and a passion for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 3+ years' experience in manufacturing management
• 3+ years' experience in manufacturing, preferably building materials
• Proven leadership to motivate diverse teams
• Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement knowledge

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a results driven Operations Manager to help lead manufacturing operations at our dry mix plant in Marble Falls, TX. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and quality standards, and leading a high-performing production team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, lean manufacturing expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement to support our long-term business goals.

Job Location

This is an onsite role based in Marble Falls, TX.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality
• Plan and manage production schedules, work assignments, and resource allocation to meet output targets
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage dashboards to identify gaps and implement corrective actions
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive resolution strategies
• Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and frontline teams
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed
• Support and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies
• Identify and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce waste
• Drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and methods to enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with site leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategies
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and business objectives
• Enter and maintain safety related data into Oldcastle programs
• Assist in the preparation, submittal, and maintenance of permit applications to the proper regulatory controls
• Use acceptable methods of inspecting sample and test aggregates, asphalt, concrete, or other materials for the purpose of quality control

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 3+ years' experience in a similar industry or a combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in building materials or a related industry
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools; experience with SAP or similar platforms preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
