Job summary

Arvato is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the reverse logistics and value-added services in Louisville, KY. You will drive daily warehouse operations for returns, inspection, disposition, refurbishment, and SKU transformation, while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

You will hire and develop supervisors and staff, oversee labor metrics with UKG, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance aligned with SLAs and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience in 3PL or warehouse settings.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and KPI performance.
  • Experience leading multi-client environments and cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Arvato is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our reverse logistics and value-added services operation in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily warehouse operations supporting product returns, inspection, disposition, refurbishment, kitting, bundling, repackaging, and SKU transformation activities for leading technology and consumer product clients.

YOUR TASKS

This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring customer requirements are met, and maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment. The Operations Manager will partner with site leadership, customer representatives, and support teams to achieve service, quality, inventory accuracy, and productivity goals while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

  • Maintain production, quality, inventory accuracy, reliability, and safety standards across all operational areas.
  • Lead daily reverse logistics operations, including returns processing, product inspection, disposition, refurbishment, and value-added services activities.
  • Oversee customer-specific programs involving kitting, bundling, relabeling, repackaging, product reconfiguration, and SKU transformation.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse associates.
  • Serve as a key communication link between operations, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate operational activities to ensure customer requirements, service level agreements, and production schedules are achieved.
  • Monitor and ensure frontline supervisors accurately account for labor utilization through UKG and other workforce management tools.
  • Prepare operational reports and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI performance metrics.
  • Support Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for safety programs, employee engagement initiatives, and operational compliance.
  • Manage customer KPIs including turnaround time, inventory accuracy, quality performance, productivity, claims reduction, and service level attainment.
  • Lead training and development activities for warehouse associates across all functional areas.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Operations Supervisors to ensure operational goals and customer expectations are met.
  • Oversee inventory control processes and support customer audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with customer requirements and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be flexible, self‑motivated, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving operational and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization are critical to success in this role.
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience within a 3PL, warehouse, supply chain, reverse logistics, or value‑added services environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a multi‑client operational environment.
  • Experience managing production, quality, inventory control, returns processing, refurbishment, rework, and value‑added services activities.
  • Workforce management experience, including management of temporary labor in a fast‑paced warehouse operation.
  • Strong understanding of KPI management, continuous improvement, inventory control, and customer service performance metrics.
  • Experience supporting technology, consumer electronics, or high‑value product operations preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and workforce management tools preferred.
