Job summary

JVS SoCal is seeking a fundraising data & donor services associate to support donor development activities, gift entry, recognition, mailings, campaigns and event coordination in a hybrid work arrangement.

Working closely with the SVP of Philanthropy, you will track data, prepare reports for management and Board, maintain data integrity, and assist with donor acknowledgments and special events throughout SoCal.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or another CRM.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach.
  • Team player with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service skills essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and relational databases.
  • Experience coordinating projects or events.
  • Willingness to be flexible to support events and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support donor development activities: donor/gift entry, recognition, information processing, mailings, campaigns/events, reports, and solicitations by management and Board members.
  • Record and process gifts and event-related donations accurately.
  • Generate acknowledgments and track respondents.
  • Prepare reports for management and Board.
  • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate logistics of multiple campaign mailings.
  • Oversee the Department’s data management, systems administration, analysis and reporting needs.
  • Manage and maintain fundraising databases.
  • Support planning and coordination of special events (e.g., annual luncheon, awards dinner, Scholarship reception).
  • Help track event revenue, sponsorships, Tribute Journal messages/ads, guest list.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Join us and play a significant role in transforming lives and bettering our communities throughout SoCal. Working closely with the SVP of Philanthropy, this position is charged with helping to track, record and manage data regarding funding from individuals, corporate donors and foundations across the agency. In addition, this position will provide support with donor acknowledgement letters, data reports, mail merges and general administrative duties as assigned. Donor interaction may occur in an effort to collect Pledge Commitments. In addition, this position will provide logistical support to JVS SoCal’s 2 major fundraising events in the Spring and Fall.

Requirements
  • Preferred Ed: AA or BA in, Education, Communications or Non-Profit Management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with non-profit fundraising culture/terminology.
  • Preferred minimum 3-5 years of experience with Raiser’s Edge, or another CRM
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Customer service skills are essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and relational database applications.
  • Must have experience in coordinating projects or events, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to be flexible in work schedule in support of events and deadlines is required.
  • Work Schedule is Hybrid (in-person/remote) Monday – Friday: 3 days in office/in person are the minimum required, with 2 days a week offering the option for remote work-when possible, based on job responsibilities and business demands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for supporting JVS SoCal’s donor development activities, including donor/gift entry, recognition, information processing, mailings, campaign/events, reports, solicitations by management and Board members.
  • Responsible for accurately recording and processing gifts and event-related donations
  • Generating acknowledgments and tracking respondents
  • Preparing reports for management and Board
  • Maintaining integrity, confidentiality and appropriate use of information.
  • Responsible for coordinating logistics of multiple campaign mailings.
  • This position oversees the Department’s data management, systems administration, analysis and reporting needs.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of the fundraising databases.
  • Supporting the use of database programs, reporting and data analysis.
  • Working with management and volunteers to assist with planning and coordination of special events (e.g., annual luncheon, awards dinner and Scholarship reception)
  • Help manage and track event revenue, sponsorships, Tribute Journal messages/ads, guest list.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.

Salary

$40.00 per hour/ NO BENEFITS
