Job summary

PHINIA is seeking an Operations Manager in Laredo, TX to lead the distribution center, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include developing a site business plan with the customer, maintaining performance reporting, and guiding corrective actions to resolve non-compliance quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• At least 10 years of Distribution Center experience (automotive LD/Heavy Duty).
• Experience with corrective action.
• 5S lean experience.
• Special and transition project execution experience.
• Forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to non-compliant areas to drive quick resolutions.
• Participate in business reviews with the customer.
• Develop leadership and conflict management capabilities and negotiate effectively.

Job Purpose

PHINIA is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Operations Manager in our Laredo distribution center location.

Key Responsibilities

• Continually enforce and improve policies and procedures throughout the facility.
• Ensure smooth and accurate operation of the facility to eliminate/reduce discrepancies by recognizing weak areas and introducing solutions to strengthen those areas.
• Provide hands on leadership to site supervisors in developing and implementing programs such as: Safety, CPI, 5S, Lean, and other programs to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Continuous improvement of the operation.
• Maintain a reporting system on the performance of all functional areas to be available to customers.
• Develop in coordination with the customer, a detailed site business plan, and ensure that all items in it get measured and accomplished every week.
• Provide hands‑on support to those areas out of compliance to establish a quick and reliable resolution.
• Participate in Business reviews as established in coordination with the customer.
• Proven leadership and people development capability. Trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in SAP.
