The OM, through this position and its subordinates, is responsible for the sales, management and daily operation of the parts, service and rental departments within their branch. The OM ensures that parts, service and rental service provided through the branch are done in a profitable and professional manner as directed by Darr Equipment Co.’s policies and procedures. The OM will assist the Director of Operations in the establishment of parts, service and rental budgets, inventory needs and necessary resource structure to support the branch’s stated objectives. The OM is ultimately responsible for the management and performance of all parts, service and rental personnel assigned to the branch. In addition, the OM will oversee the maintenance of the branch facility.**Reporting & Supporting Positions:** All branch personnel will report to the Operations Manager.**Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:** The OM ensures the aftermarket department within the branch meets its stated financial objectives while providing first class service to its customers. The OM should be a leader, coach, and creative thinker and is expected to identify and handle employee and customer problems within company guidelines to achieve the best results for customers, employees, and the company as a whole. The OM is expected to personally establish and maintain good relationships with customers.**Major Functions** • Manages the personnel and daily operations of the parts, service and rental departments. • Responsible for meeting aftermarket sales and profitability targets. • Works directly with the Customer Support Manager to meet aftermarket sales goals through the Customer Support Representatives (CSR’s). • Oversee the maintenance of the branch facility. • Recruiting, onboarding, development and evaluation of branch personnel. • Approve vendor invoices, branch expenses and cost of sale to maintain acceptable operating expenses and profits. • Assist the Director of Operations with the development of an annual strategic business plan for the branch.**Minimum Education, Skills, and Professionalism** • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or related experience. • Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferably in the material handling or equipment rental industry. • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate ideas and issues effectively and concisely to all levels of management. • Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Office, and other relevant ERP applications • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, excellent accuracy and completeness, and adherence to strict deadlines. • Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing). • Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, multitask, and work independently • Preferred: experience with Power BI • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and an advocate for Darr Equipment.**Working Conditions** This position requires one to operate in a professional office environment. Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
