Job summary

Ellwood in Houston seeks an experienced manufacturing leader to drive efficiency and safety across multiple production lines. You will manage 50+ staff, champion Lean and Six Sigma projects, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and OSHA requirements.

The role requires strong cross‑functional communication with area managers, maintenance and shop personnel, plus the ability to draft and revise procedures while fostering a positive, high‑performing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing teams and managing multiple production lines.
• Strong communication abilities across management, technical, and shop staff.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, SMED, Kaizen and related process improvements.
• Familiarity with EHS and OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Ability to draft and revise procedures to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams totaling 50+ personnel and coordinate daily operations.
• Ensure routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are reported and addressed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Follow daily procedures and protocols from orientation and training.

• Verifiable record of improving operational efficiency and costs.
• Experienced leader who understands change management and how to build positive work environments.
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate across a wide spectrum including other area managers, technical and shop personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, Outlook, and Heat Treat Furnace Software
• Excellent people/project, team working skills with ability to develop careers of teams.
• Understanding of EHS, OSHA’s regulations, and Forging specifications.
• Proven application of leading manufacturing methods, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, SMED, Kaizen, etc.
• Draft and revise quality and production procedures to ensure compliance to customer requirements.
• Manage multiple production teams, totaling up to 50+ individuals
• Ensure routine inspection and preventive maintenance are performed on assigned equipment and defects or needed repairs are reported to manager.
• Ensure equipment and work area are properly maintained and cleaned.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Follow daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
