Job summary

hummel North America is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and print production operations in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Director of Distribution and focuses on daily execution, staff development, and safe, accurate order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of operations leadership experience, deep knowledge of WMS and ERP systems, and a track record in KPI-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s in a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Experience leading supervisors or team leaders.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar.
• Experience developing, tracking, and communicating operational KPIs.
• Knowledge of inventory management, cycle counting, and inventory control best practices.
• Experience with shipping software such as ShipStation, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse and print production operations to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
• Provide leadership to 2–3 salaried supervisors overseeing warehouse and production staff.
• Spend most of the day on the warehouse floor coaching employees and removing obstacles.
• Prioritize workloads and adjust staffing to meet demand.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and others to ensure service and execution.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and print production operations. Reporting to the Director of Distribution, this roleis responsible fordriving daily execution, developing supervisors and associates, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled safely, accurately, and on time. Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

• Lead the day-to-day warehouse and print production operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Provide leadership and direction to 2–3 salaried supervisors overseeing warehouse and print production associates.
• Spendthe majority ofthe workday on the warehouse and production floor coaching employees, removing obstacles, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Prioritize daily workloads and adjust staffing and resources to meet changing business demands.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service,Purchasing, and other departments to ensure exceptional customer service and operational execution.

Team Development

• Recruit, interview, onboard, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedback to build a high-performing team.
• Partner with the Director of Distribution and Human Resources on hiring decisions, performance management, and employee relations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous learning, and employee engagement.

Operational Excellence

• Develop, implement, andmonitorkey performance indicators (KPIs), including:
• On-Time Shipping (OTS)
• Inventory Accuracy
• Order Accuracy
• Productivity
• Identifyoperational challenges,determineroot causes, and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through effective receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material handling practices.
• Monitor workflow throughout warehouse and print production operations to maximize efficiency whilemaintainingquality standards.
• Promote standard work practices and continuous improvement throughout the operation.

Safety & Quality

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Drive quality throughout warehouse, production, and fulfillment processes to consistently meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required;bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of operations leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, apparel production, e-commerce fulfillment, retail distribution, third-partylogistics, or a similar operational environment.
• Previousexperience leading supervisors or team leaders preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar.
• Experience developing, tracking, and communicating operational KPIs.
