Job summary

Dentallab.com seeks an experienced dental laboratory operations leader to own the day-to-day performance of the Florida lab and drive continuous improvement across locations. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a dental laboratory environment, preferably in a supervisory, management, technical, or operations leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of dental laboratory workflows, production processes, quality standards, and technical operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or evaluating employee performance.
  • Strong ability to identify operational problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience working directly with dentists and dental professionals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage difficult personnel and operational situations professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Familiarity with digital dental workflows, laboratory technology, and emerging dental technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with removable prosthetics is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong overall dental laboratory operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational performance within the Florida dental laboratory.
  • Audit existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical process improvements.
  • Evaluate production processes, turnaround times, quality, communication, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain consistent operational standards across departments.
  • Identify recurring issues and develop solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and accountability.
  • Evaluate employee performance and ensure team members meet departmental expectations.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and accountability to employees and department leads.
  • Address performance, attendance, communication, and workflow concerns as they arise.
  • Work with HR and leadership on performance management and personnel decisions when necessary.
  • Help build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Work directly with dentists and dental professionals to understand technical and operational concerns.
  • Address issues related to case quality, communication, turnaround times, and overall service.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact when complex cases or recurring client concerns require operational or technical intervention.
  • Ensure doctor expectations are clearly communicated to laboratory teams and followed through to completion.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight across dental laboratory operations.
  • Review workflows and completed work to identify quality concerns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist teams in troubleshooting complex technical and production issues.
  • Ensure appropriate standards are maintained across removable and other applicable laboratory departments.
  • Support the implementation of new materials, technologies, systems, and production methods.
  • Support the implementation of successful operational improvements from the Florida operation across other locations.
  • Work closely with the New York operation to help establish consistent workflows, performance standards, and accountability.
  • Maintain visibility into Florida operations while supporting leadership with broader multi-location operational initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes and improve consistency between locations.
  • Maintain visibility into the company's dental technology and technology-development initiatives.
  • Work with internal teams to identify operational needs that can be improved through technology.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new systems, software, digital workflows, and laboratory technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Bangladesh technology team and other internal stakeholders where operational input is required.
  • Collaborate with teams supporting the company's manufacturing operations in China.
  • Provide operational insight and support where laboratory requirements, quality, production, or workflow coordination are involved.
  • Maintain effective communication across U.S. and international teams.
  • Help ensure that operational priorities are properly communicated and followed through across locations.
  • Participate in major company initiatives and projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Support the development and implementation of new business and operational initiatives, including the company's dental school initiative.
  • Evaluate operational requirements and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through implementation and follow-up.
  • Serve as a key operational resource to senior leadership.
  • Provide regular updates regarding operational performance, employee matters, workflow issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify problems proactively and bring forward solutions rather than simply reporting issues.
  • Ensure significant operational matters are properly reviewed and addressed before escalating them to the CEO.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable dental laboratory professional to take ownership of the day-to-day operations, technical performance, workflow, and continuous improvement of our dental laboratory operations.This role will work closely with company leadership and dental professionals to evaluate operational processes, improve employee performance, address technical and production issues, and ensure the laboratory consistently delivers high-quality results.The position will initially have a strong focus on the Florida operation, while also supporting the standardization and implementation of operational improvements across other locations, including New York. The ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership, make sound decisions, work directly with doctors and technical teams, and identify opportunities to improve the business rather than simply manage existing processes.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Process Improvement
  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational performance within the Florida dental laboratory.

Compensation: $70,000 annually
