Osmosis is seeking an Operations Manager to align growth with cost disciplined execution on the floor. You will oversee filling, shipping, and inventory, and lead the Production Manager and staff who carry out daily operations.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in operations management (or related field), 5+ years in operational leadership, GMP compliance, and experience with NetSuite and RFSmart. This is a on-site role in Evergreen, CO with salary 95k–115k USD per year.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager exists to turn Osmosis's growth into predictable, compliant, and cost disciplined execution on the floor, so the COO can run the business rather than run operations. This person owns the link between company strategy and daily execution across filling, shipping, and inventory, and leads the Production Manager and department staff who carry that execution out.

Results You Will Be Accountable For:

What success looks like in this role, in roughly this order.

Within the first 90 days: complete a full assessment of current operations across filling, shipping, and inventory; establish baseline metrics (on time in full, inventory accuracy, cost per unit, safety incident rate) and present findings and a 90 day action plan to the COO.
Within the first 90 days: In collaboration with the production manager, drive efficient production team scheduling, planning and in collaboration with the controller, implement improved methods of tracking labor costs, direct labor cost per unit, and productivity.
Within the first 6 months: own and deliver against the department budget with no unplanned overages, having identified and implemented at least one measurable cost or efficiency improvement [Osmosis to specify a target, for example a percentage reduction in freight cost or space utilization improvement].
On an ongoing basis: maintain accurate, on time, and compliant customs documentation for all international shipments, with zero compliance incidents.
Within the first 6 months: reduce stockouts and excess or obsolete inventory through improved forecasting and closer coordination with the Production Manager and purchasing [Osmosis to specify a target where data allows].
On an ongoing basis: build and lead a Production Manager and floor leadership team capable of flexing production volume up or down for seasonal or promotional demand without a proportional increase in fixed headcount, reflecting the frugality and agility this role requires.
On an ongoing basis: serve as a trusted operating partner to the COO, translating company strategy into floor level execution and escalating the right issues at the right altitude, neither burying problems nor escalating what should be handled locally.

Key Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Manage daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal team performance across filling, shipping, and inventory.
Directly lead the Production Manager, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management, and supporting their development as a people leader in their own right, not only directing their day to day work.
Own workforce planning across full time and temporary or seasonal labor, including approving staffing levels and budget for seasonal or promotional volume swings.
Monitor employee performance and productivity across the department, providing coaching, training, and feedback to improve efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain employees.

Supply Chain, Inventory & Space:

Coordinate with filling, shipping, and inventory departments to plan and achieve daily and weekly objectives.
Own forecasting requirements for components, raw materials, and bulk products, in partnership with the Production Manager, to optimize inventory and reduce shortages (the Production Manager owns work in progress and floor level material flow).
Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the resources required for production, including people, equipment, technology, and information.
Optimize space efficiencies to improve workflow, reduce waste, and maximize productivity.

International Shipping & Compliance:

Oversee the shipping of international orders, ensuring all required customs documentation is prepared and accurate.
Stay current on international shipping regulations and compliance requirements, and maintain a documented process others can follow in your absence.
Maintain and enforce health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Ensure that all organizational processes comply with industry regulations and legal requirements, including GMP.

Budget & Systems:

Own the department budget: forecast operational costs, allocate resources to align with business and strategic goals, and report spend to plan to the COO.
Own line level cost control in partnership with the Production Manager, who is responsible for labor efficiency, scrap, and downtime cost at the floor level.
Utilize NetSuite and RFSmart to improve operations management, tracking, and reporting, and use the data these systems produce to drive decisions, not just record transactions.
Report on department KPIs on a regular cadence, including on time in full, inventory accuracy, cost per unit, and safety incident rate [confirm exact metrics and targets with Osmosis leadership].

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in operations management or a similar cross functional leadership role, ideally including experience managing a manager or supervisor, not only individual contributors.
Strong knowledge of international shipping requirements and customs documentation.
Experience in supply chain management, inventory forecasting, and resource allocation.
Direct experience owning a department or P&L level budget.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop both individual contributors and a direct-report manager.
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
GMP and other regulatory compliance experience required.
Proficiency with NetSuite and RFSmart required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move fluently between floor level conversations and executive level reporting to the COO.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, given the composition of the production floor team.
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business management, or a related field, and/or five or more years of experience in an operational leadership role.
Fast paced, dynamic work environment requiring adaptability and problem solving skills.
Comfortable working in a production setting, with regular exposure to manufacturing environments, not only an office.
Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business objectives.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods as needed.
Occasional lifting of materials and equipment as required for operational duties.

The Person We're Looking For:

This role calls for a calm, decisive operator who brings order to ambiguity rather than waiting for it to be handed to them. Osmosis needs someone who is frugal and resourceful by instinct, not by mandate, who treats company money like their own, and who is agile enough to re-prioritize multiple times in a day without losing the thread. These two traits, frugality and agility, matter more in this role than any other qualification on this page.

This person is a floor first leader: visible, present, and credible with hourly and supervisory staff, not only comfortable in a conference room or in front of the COO. At the same time, they are a translator between the executive suite and the production floor, able to walk into a conversation with the COO and a conversation on the filling line in the same hour and be fluent in both.

They are a direct, low ego communicator who gives and takes feedback well, and who builds trust through consistency rather than charisma. They hold a high bar for documentation, compliance, and safety even when moving fast, and they do not trade discipline for speed. They are comfortable owning outcomes without a large staff or budget to lean on: a builder, not just a caretaker.
