Job summary

Canfor is seeking an Operations Manager in DeRidder, Louisiana, to lead production teams at our wood products mill, drive safety and regulatory compliance, and optimize operations.

You will coach supervisors, manage budgets, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

This role requires 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in wood products manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Sound knowledge of sawmill operations, production processes, and cost management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of business and financial principles.
