Job summary

Performance Contracting Group’s Denver 583 branch in Aurora, CO seeks an experienced Glass and Glazing, Operations Manager to lead commercial projects from concept to completion. You will manage the Denver unit, maintain client relations, and drive profitable execution.

The role requires 7–10 years as a project manager in glass/glazing, a relevant degree, strong cost control, and proven team leadership. A safety-first mindset and ability to negotiate contracts are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry.
• 2–3 years’ experience managing teams and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Motivated self-starter with initiative.
• Strong work ethic and team orientation.
• Safety understanding for glass and glazing Industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion.
• Manage Denver-based business unit and customer contacts to enable securements and profitable execution.
• Direct construction activities to maximize margin contribution.
• Interpret contract documents and requirements for each project.
• Manage site personnel and relations with owners, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, unions.
• Implement loss control and claims management per safety program.
• Monitor actual vs. estimated costs and develop corrective action plans.
• Consult estimating for maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
• Negotiate contracts, variances, change orders, and other project issues.

Job Description

PCI is seeking an experiencedGlass and Glazing, Operations Manager for ourPCI Denver 583 branch based inAurora, CO. This individual will play a vital role overseeing commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion, and be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage business unit in commercial glass and glazing operations in Denver.
• Initiate and maintain customer contact which will enable securements and profitable execution of work.
• Direct and manage the construction activities of projects in this area of responsibility in order to maximize margin contribution results.
• Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications and requirements for each project.
• Manage job site personnel in order to maintain effective relations with owner, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, unions, etc.
• Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management pertaining to workers compensation.
• Analyze and monitor actual vs. estimated costs in order to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected. Ensure that an effective job control system is utilized on each project.
• Responsible to solicit the assistance of the estimating department when necessary in order to assure maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
• Negotiate contract issues and variances and further negotiate change order, scope changes, claims and other project issues as required.

This position is safety sensitive

Salary range: $143,200-$191,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing teams and processes.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
• A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
• Strong work ethic.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
• Clear understanding of safety needs specifically related to the glass and glazing industry.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience with working with union representatives.
• OSHA Certification.
• Local to Denver metro area is preferred but not required
