Role Overview:

The Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

1. Follows and enforces all safety rules and regulations at all times.
2. Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
3. Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
4. Coordinates with other support departments such as Human Resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
5. Oversees the shipping and receiving functions.
6. Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
7. Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
8. Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
9. Assists with or prepares and updates the organization’s operations manual and policies.
10. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements of the Position:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
2. Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred.
3. Five years of operations management or related experience required.

Work Requirements:

• Work full-time onsite at the RealCold facility.
• Hours vary depending on facilities shipment of product out of each facility.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Typical workweeks are standard 40 hours with workdays fluctuating based on customer demands.

Physical Work Environment:

Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast-paced at times.
