RealCold is seeking a Team Lead to oversee a designated customer operation at our Utah cold-storage facility. You will lead daily activities, ensure safety, quality, and timely completion, and serve as the SME for customer requirements while aligning with RealCold standards.

Partner with Operations Leadership to manage staffing, equipment, and process improvements; coach team members and ensure smooth shift handoffs.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of the assigned customer-specific operation, including understanding customer requirements, processes, priorities, and service expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the team regarding daily assignments, priorities, processes, and operational questions.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members on customer-specific processes, equipment operation, safety procedures, and warehouse standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide real-time coaching and feedback to ensure expectations are consistently met.
• Coordinate with Operations Leadership to ensure appropriate staffing, equipment, and resources are available to support daily customer requirements.
• Conduct and support inventory, quality, and process audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

What You'll Do

The Team Lead is responsible for leading team members within a designated, customer-specific area of the operation. This role serves as the day-to-day subject matter expert for the assigned customer operation and is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with customer and RealCold standards.

The Team Lead works closely with Operations Leadership to manage workflow, communicate priorities, solve operational issues, and maintain a culture of accountability and teamwork.

• Lead, assign, and monitor daily activities for team members to meet productivity, quality, accuracy, and customer service expectations.
• Take ownership of the assigned customer-specific operation, including understanding customer requirements, processes, priorities, and service expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the team regarding daily assignments, priorities, processes, and operational questions.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members on customer-specific processes, equipment operation, safety procedures, and warehouse standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide real-time coaching and feedback to ensure expectations are consistently met.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned customer operation and ensure team members follow established processes and work instructions.
• Coordinate with Operations Leadership to ensure appropriate staffing, equipment, and resources are available to support daily customer requirements.
• Monitor workflow throughout the shift and adjust team assignments as priorities or business needs change.
• Conduct and support inventory, quality, and process audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Identify and elevate operational issues, delays, damaged product, safety concerns, and other exceptions to Operations Leadership.
• Assist with loading/unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, picking, putaway, staging, and other warehouse activities as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
• Ensure the team meets daily productivity and completion expectations while maintaining a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Support communication between shifts to ensure effective handoffs and continuity of customer operations.
• Assist Operations Leadership with projects, process improvements, and other operational initiatives.
• Lead by example and promote RealCold's values of safety, accountability, teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by inspecting assigned freezer locations to ensure all cleaning objectives have been completed.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum one year of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Minimum six months leadership, team lead, trainer, or informal leadership experience.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team of employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in customer-specific processes and requirements.
• Cold storage experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or high-reach equipment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team.

Work Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be flexible and be able to work overtime.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• Dress code is relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety; comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.

Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast paced at times. You will be working around moving machines, order pickers and forklifts.
