Job summary

Lockton Companies in Dallas seeks an Operations Manager, Talent Solutions, to accelerate the execution of the leadership team’s strategic priorities. You will own day-to-day operations, coordinate initiatives, and improve processes to enable growth and platform development.

The role requires five+ years in operations or related fields, strong communication with executives, and the ability to influence without authority. Travel as needed in a professional services setting.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in operations, project management, consulting operations, or a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive execution through influence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain operational workflows, standards, and procedures across Talent Solutions.
  • Facilitate intake, prioritization, tracking, and execution of operational initiatives and process improvements as directed by leadership.
  • Support practice-level financial visibility by tracking utilization, capacity, and engagement metrics and reporting insights to leadership.
  • Provide operational input into staffing models, scopes of work, and delivery assumptions.
  • Monitor indicators that may impact client experience, associate workload, or financial outcomes and escalate concerns.
  • Oversee resource planning and workload balancing across Talent Solutions consultants to support utilization and performance.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring coordination, onboarding execution, role clarity, and team structure for the Talent Solutions practice.
  • Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met; follow up with team members to drive accountability and completion.
  • Call and facilitate meetings related to operational initiatives, process improvements, or execution issues.
  • Support the rollout of new processes, tools, and service offerings, ensuring timely communication and adoption.
  • Serve as the primary operational extension of the Director of Operations, acting as a first alert for risks and bottlenecks.

Lockton is currently seeking an Operations Manager, Talent Solutions, responsible for increasing the bandwidth and execution velocity of the Talent Solutions leadership team. This role enables practice leadership to focus on strategic growth, client expansion, and platform development by assuming ownership of day-to-day operational execution, coordination, and continuous improvement across the Talent Solutions practice.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in operations, project management, consulting operations, or a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive execution through influence rather than authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, consultants, and cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and influential stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to identify operational issues that materially impact business performance.
  • The ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Strong analytical and operational acumen; financial literacy sufficient to interpret utilization and engagement-level performance metrics.
  • Project management experience and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and design practical, scalable solutions.
  • Ability to travel as required.
