Job summary

Lockton Companies in Kansas City, Missouri seeks a Client Services professional to support client inquiries, manage documentation, and coordinate with carriers on quotes and coverage details.

You will gather exposure information, process policy documents, and assist in new business opportunities while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Typically three to seven years of Client services experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to comply with confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and computer usage.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to Client’s inquiries, maintains documentation of communications and issues resolutions.
  • Supports implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account and reviewing plan details.
  • Gathers and compiles exposure information from the Client, including loss-run schedules.
  • Requests and collects quotes from carriers (new and renewal).
  • Audits quotes, binders, and endorsements and requests changes as needed.
  • Processes audits and creates audit analysis for Client.
  • Receives policy and updates policy check for completeness.
  • Updates specifications, application, and summary information during the year.
  • Monitors receipt of quotes from carriers and supports senior staff.
  • Binds coverage under direction of Unit Manager/Account Executive.
  • Informs Client of changes affecting premiums or coverage.
  • Gathers information for new business opportunities and inputs data into system.
  • Generates materials for Client presentations and meetings.
  • Creates and sends compliance communications as needed.
  • Issues and processes Client invoicing.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
3-7 years of Client services experience

Services designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims, and administration

  • Responds to Client’s inquiries, maintains documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions
  • Supports implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and Carrier
  • Gathers and compiles exposure information from the Client, including compiling loss-run schedules and client stratifications
  • Requests and collects quotes (new and renewal) from carriers
  • Audits quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as needed
  • Processes audits and creates audit analysis for Client
  • Receives policy, then updates and completes policy check to ensure completeness
  • Updates specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the year
  • Monitors receipt of quotes from carriers once submitted and negotiated by more senior staff
  • Binds coverage under direction of the Unit Manager/Account Executive
  • Informs Client of any and all changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverage
  • Gathers and compiles information for new business opportunities
  • Inputs Client information into data management system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Generates materials for Client presentations and meetings
  • Creates and sends compliance communications as needed
  • Issues and processes Client invoicing
  • Engages with Producer and Accounting Department to appropriately determine action plan and assist in collection efforts or billing discrepancies
  • Researches industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
  • Typically three to seven years of Client services experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
  • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
  • Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as neededLegally able to work in the United States
